They won't show up in a search by vehicle because the offset/backspace will place them outside your fenders.

The 17x9 -12mm option here will fit lifted and non lifted wranglers but they will stick out beyond the fenders by about 3/4".

Here's a link to the 17" Keyhole: Black Rhino Keyhole custom rims

El Gringo 05-24-2011 03:39 PM

Ok that's what I figured, I found them by looking by size. I don't see the Black Imperial though.

These are all new designs and not all of them have hit warehouses yet. Black Rhino expects more part numbers to arrive throughout the summer. When you are ready to make your purchase give us a ring and we'll be happy to get an accurate ETA for you.

Is it physically possible? Yes, but we won't recommend it. 37" tires are wider than what is recommend for your stock wheels. They are also too wide for the high offset/ backspace that your stock wheels have. This can create a number of issues, some you can see and some you can't. If you want to run a 37" tire on your Jeep I would recommend upgrading to a wider wheel with the correct backspacing specs as well. A lift or flat fenders may also be needed if you don't already have them.

ok thanks

Why is no one making 15" rims any more? Seems like 16"+... because OEM wheels are no longer being made in 15" sizes for small trucks/suv/cuv's?

There are some that will fit the JK...

I run MB 72's
MB Wheels 72 custom rims

Black Rocks have worked for others

If you prefer steels

There are others as well. Backspacing is key.

I liked both the Keyhole and the Imperial. Nice wheels

The answer is twofold. First of all style, larger wheels are more popular. Second, the automobile manufacturers are making vehicles with larger braking systems. A lot of newer vehicles have brakes so large that a 15 inch wheel isn't even close to being large enough to fit over the rotors/calipers.

15" sizes are limited but there are a few that will work on the new Jk. xxss mentioned a few of them. The Mb Chaos 5 in 15" is also a great option.

(I've been pushing for a 15x9 but I have yet to get one of our wheel manufacturer's to make one)

I believe this was the original question - at least a range for a set of 5 would be helpful - say in 18" (middle of the size range) for Keyhole and Imperial? That would give us a number to work with, so we'd know that 17s are probably a bit less, 20s a bit more...

rics1997 05-25-2011 12:27 PM

The link he posted in post #3 showed the 17X9 at $152.00 each for Keyhole

Yep - 2009 JEEP WRANGLER UNLMTD 18"BASE SAHARA AWD (TPMS) At this time, we do not have any Black Rhino Wheels in stock in the 18" size. Guess I'm on the back burner...

If you're looking for new rims, no need to stay with an 18". Go with a 15,16 or 17" and tires will be considerably cheaper and plenty of choices!

17" is the new 15" these days. I'll always prefer a 15" rim on a wrangler.

The low offsets will limit how this wheel populates on our site because the these wheel models will poke out of the fender a little.

Let us know if we can helo you with a fitment.
