More South Texas Wheeling

Hey Guys,

As I'm sure you know, the 2006 Texas Spur Jeep Jamboree Mar. 24-26 in Llano is a sell out. The waiting list has started and it looks like the Texas Spur staff is working to get some of those Jeepers spots for the weekend's fun.

I'm told that registration for the Palo Duro Jeep Jamboree, May 5-7 are also selling well.

If you are still looking for other wheeling events in South Texas you might want to also turn your attention to the YO Ranch in Mountain Home Texas. This is not a Jeep Jamboree event but does follow the JJUSA Format closely.

If you would like to see some Jeep Action Photos from this venue that were taken last year during the 4th of July "YO Wheeling Weekend" just click here.

I have added the info that was passed on to me by the YO Ranch Wheeling Coordinators last night at the SAJE meeting.

If you have questions about any of these “Open Off-roading Events”, Contact: Missie Dreiss @ 800-YO RANCH or Sam & Margo Davis 830.833.1760. Please be sure to tell then them you learned about these events from your friends at JeepTales.com.

I've been to the YO Ranch many times and I can guarantee you will have a wonderful time.

Mud???

We do mud from time to time it would just need to rain.

I have been on most of the Jeep Trails at the YO Ranch a lot of them cross along dry river beds offering plenty of mud.

It's been real dry here but if you like I can put in for a few hours rain right before the event in April.

I just don’t like it when it rains on my Tent Camping camp site.

I hate dragging all that wet stuff home.

During the 2005 Texas Spurs Jeep Jamboree it rained about 3" in just over 2 hours...Let's jut say it made things real interesting for those of us wheeling on a trail called "Dry Creek" HA!

BTW: The YO Ranch Wheeling on-line regestration is now open Click Here

When you put in your order for the rain, just specify exactly where you want it to rain. You can do that, can't you?

I can Pray for rain, if you like, but look what I did last year.

Last year at the 2005 Jeep Jamboree in Palo Duro Canyon just outside of Amarillo, TX it rained and hailed the day before we got there about 4”.

It also rained about Saturday Night after all the Big Time Wheeling was over.

Had to drag home a wet tent that trip too…

But if you want mud; I will do my best to arrange it for you.

But Like I said… "Be careful what you ask for”
:)

More info (No Raeading)

Are any of you are on the fence about making the trip to Mountain Home, Texas this month for YO Spring Wheeling at the Y.O. Ranch?

Here area links to a few PodCast I made with the folks from the YO Wheeling @ The Y.O. Ranch, during the Ancira Jeep Show and Shine in March. This might help to answer a few questions for you...
