Hi I Would Like To Know Witch Is Better For on road and off road capability and overall view between a 07 Wrangler and an 07 FJ Cruiser

I would have to say that they are both capable offroad vehicles. However I think that the Jeep is more capable in its stock form than the FJ is, and when you consider the price I would look more towards the Jeep than the FJ.

Doesn't Even Come Close To A JEEP JK Wrangler 4 DR

Pros: Had Me Fooled As a Real OffRoad Vehicle(It Isn't)
Cons: Excessive Pricing,Paint, Seats,MPH,Windshield, Weak Rerr Differential, Weak Front IFS

Traded it on a NEW JK Wrangler 4 Door, I had no room, cheap paint, windshield broke 3 times, went offroad & broke my very weak IFS, Grenaded my rear diff (((((they're known for this)))))l, what was Toyota thinking, (or not), when they tried to make an Offroad Vehicle. If they wanted a real Offroad vehicle why didn't they bring back(RE-MAKE) THE FJ40, and not this Honda Element look a like. They sure fooled me, but I fixed this problem, I UPGRADED TO A REAL ONE(JEEP JK WRANGLER). Now I can actually take my Doors Off & Remove My Roof (It Gets a WoW Factor of 10.
After one day with my new JEEP JK Wrangler 4 Door, I new the FJ is in a way lower class, and when I got offroad, unexplainable how much more capable this JEEP is than an my FJ was.

For the record, I like the FJ, but it is nowhere near as capable off the showroom floor as a JK. All things considered, I think I'd find me an 06 TJ Unlimited Ruby.

i understand but what about everyday driving u know like on the streets whats more practical if i wanna drive on the streets and offroad do u get what im getting at? like overall from streets to offraod

Mine's a daily driver and I off road it (yay big bear this weekend!!). I like it. Other than just pure opinion, I can't offer anymore help. (get a wrangler :D)

There is no one vehicle that will give you the best of both worlds. You are going to have to sacrifice something, somewhere along the line. A capable off-road vehicle is not going to drive like a luxury car on the highway and conversely, you won't be able to take a luxury car down some of the trails I'll be driving on this weekend.

I think you really need to define a few terms first, like what do you consider "off-road”? Are we talking dirt roads or Jeep trails or rock gardens? How much time are you going to spend off road? You really need to decide what is important to you regarding things like comfort on the road.

I drive a Jeep Unlimited as my daily driver. It's loud on the highway because of the tires and the soft top. It's difficult to carry on a conversation at highway speeds. And gas mileage just plain sucks. But I have no problem cruising at 75 mph and I have good speakers for the radio. I try not to think about the cost of fuel. I love my Jeep and I consider the luxuries I give up to be well worth it.

Good luck on your quest, I hope you find a vehicle that suites your needs and desires. Oh, and here's a tip: the words "practical" and "Jeep" are rarely used in the same sentence, unless separated by the word "not".

Is this mainly going to used off-road or daily driver?

The Wrangler is a bit bumpy compared to the FJ but the one good thing,I've hit so many pot-holes/craters and I still DO NOT need a wheel alignment.....:rofl:

The Wrangler is a fun vehicle but it's definately better as an off-road vehicle with on road tendecies.
Pros:
Top comes off
Doors Comes off
Easy to self-maintain (except the JK---too new a vehicle)
4 door and 2 door versions


The FJ better on the road and not bad off,but not as good as the Rubicon.
Pros:
Retro Look
FJ 40 is it's daddy...;)

u know what i think im probally gonna go with the 07 wrangler now its deciding wether i should get the 07 2dr rubicon or 07 4dr unlimited rubicon but if i off road will automatic make a huge difference cause we got madd trafic here and stick is a hassle u know thanks tho for the help i appreciate it:D

Good choice going with the Wrangler!:D As far as the auto vs. manual . . . I have an 06 Rubi w/ the 6 speed . . . the cool thing is that the darn thing is geared so low, it's practically impossible to stall, and in first, it will crawl at such a low speed that you can pretty much just crawl in traffic rather than having to continually work the clutch. In my opinion the only down side of the manual is having to shift three times by the time you're doing about 25mph . . . but this is easily forgivin as soon as you get off road! For me, stick was the only way to go, but I have heard from a few people that they think the auto can make crawling up certain obsticals a bit easier. I haven't heard too many negatives regarding the FJ but was out with a bunch of them this last weekend and was told that the visibility is the worst part about the FJ.
