I hear ya man. I'm already being told the job outlook for my major is bleak. And that's in the healthcare industry. Just nothing out there.

Ya basically if your not an engineer it seems like your screwed, the only reason I have a decent job is because of work experience, my degree hasn't helped me at all

Zetsumei 06-07-2011 10:57 PM

Engineers can take almost any job! And often times are better for marketing than a marketing major! HA! Easier to teach an engineer marketing than teaching a marketer engineering. But I second that this is basically the HS thread. We invited the college guys in...

Whoa! I wouldn't go as far as "almost any job" but there seems to be more jobs available in their field

geiman 06-08-2011 09:43 AM

I just graduated in May as an Embedded Software Engineer; had a job lined up over two years before I graduated, and many job offers before I graduated. I'm thankful I've been so lucky, many other graduates haven't had such luck. There are plenty of jobs to be had, you just have to be in the right industry.
