mojave?

i just picked up a 2011 jeep mojave in black yesterday morning and i was just wondering if in the black edition it only has the one decal on the truck on the fender above the driver front tire (like the tan one) and there seems to be no decal of the lizzard on the inside either on the seats i was just wondering if this is right? also i live in canada so i doint know if the edition will be slightly different here because of all the pictures i have tried to find to see are all about the tan coloured one and have a huge decal oin the hood and on the seats and one on the back and so fourth... i was justwondering if i actual had a true mojave edition, also they said that i have rear locking diffs? is this right? im not new to the jeep world just the wrangler one i was just wondering if i could get some help, also what one in better the sahara or mojave in regards to 4x4ing?

Does this link help: http://www.jeep.com/en/mojave/ It shows what black should look like, and has interior shots and features.

edit: i looked like the other features are the same ie. the slush mats with tread pattern the mopargas cap cover rims i havent measured but look quite similar and the tail light metal guard and leather interior (minus decals of course)

What does your window sticker say? does it say Mojave Edition?

There shouldn't be any differences between the US and Canadian version. I've got a 70th Anniversary, my window sticker says 70th Anniversary Edition and has all of the "extra things" that come with that model.

What window sticker is that?

the rubicon is the only jeep that has factory lockers. Other models come with the option of a Limited Slip rear

Definitely no locking diffs on the Mojave, those come stock only on the Rubicon. You have better tires and wheels than the Sahara for offroading, which is the principal non-cosmetic difference between the two I'm aware of, though the 2011 Sahara comes with gas shocks--I'm not sure if the Mojave does as well.

It's the sheet of paper the dealership usually puts on the vehicle window showing all of the specs, options installed, and price.

What is your VIN number? I can get your window sticker information if you don't have the actual piece of paper.

This is right, the Mojave is based on the Sport. I'm sure I read somewhere that the Sport and Sahara have different shocks for the 2011. Regardless, I don't think you would notice the difference between a Sport or Sahara offroad anyways.

Hey....did you buy it at Bannermans? I just picked up a Jeep 70th from somewhere else, but when I was looking a week or so ago they had a Black Mojave sitting there....the sales guy said they 'built' it for a customer....

Look at the Mojave befor i decided on the rubicon and the one I seen was black with a 2 toned interior very nice and had stitching of a lizard on the seats.....

zannydo 01-05-2012 01:19 PM

Canadian Mojave

The canadian version doesn't have the logo lizard in the seats, the hood decal or the rear decal.
