Who's in West TN?

See a few Jeeps around, but there's no groups or clubs. Near Jackson.

Piggy 06-17-2011 03:17 PM

Know any good places to ride?

RockyWrangler98 06-17-2011 06:25 PM

No, I was hoping someone else did. Lol

Piggy 06-17-2011 06:35 PM

I used to go to Coon Creek ORP near Dyersburg before they closed. The closest place I know of is LBL.

RockyWrangler98 06-17-2011 06:41 PM

Surely someone has a lot of land, and happens to own a 4wd around here. Lol

RockyWrangler98 06-17-2011 06:49 PM

I have to overhaul my front DS before I can do anything 4wd worthy. Trails might be good for now.

RockyWrangler98 06-19-2011 09:47 PM

There's gotta be some more people on here from TN...

Hometown is Milan, but I just started school in Memphis. I'm thinking about making a trip up to LBL this fall sometime.

I'm in west TN, way down south near the state line. I'm about 30 min. from Pickwick and the lake. Used to be some places to ride here then they got taken over with atv's and people got in trouble and some of them were gated shut. I used to take my 4wd truck to dry creek but thats been a while. Now that I have my Jeep I'm going to have to find places to go. There is a club out of Memphis that is on the web Mid South Jeeps. Heres a link.
MIDSOUTHJEEPS.COM - Home of the Midsouth Jeep Club

I'm on there as well. They go to Hot Springs AR. to a place called Super Lift. I have read about it, trails from mild to wild. Check out the club and read about super lift.

D Wall 09-02-2011 09:37 AM

Yep hoping to make the Fall run with MSJ to Superlift:dance:

I thought that was you I chatted with the other day. Dont know if I will have mine back together in time for the Fall Run. Been doing clutch and had problems with slave cylinder, and thought I'd do the SOA while I had it up on stands. I'm in the home stretch now, fixing to order parts for the axles next week.

06blackmax 10-25-2011 08:50 AM

Turkey Bay at LBL(land between the lakes), Super lift at Hot springs, AR, and a couple in middle TN Wooleys and Wheeling in the country.

scribble77 10-25-2011 10:59 AM

Any close places? I've looked at going to lbl but that's a hell out a drive. Is the place in dyersburg open, I can't get a for sure answer on that?

D Wall 10-25-2011 01:34 PM

place in Dyersburg is 4 wheelers only, no jeeps, Turkey Bay is your best bet for a day trip, I am in Milan and takes few hours to get there but alot of great riding. Just got back from Superlift in Hot Springs and had one heck of a good time with the Mid South Jeep Club Fall run, Jump in and go with us some time, its always better to go with someone instead of by yourself for saftey and in case you break down.

06blackmax 10-25-2011 07:53 PM

Good point about the safety.:thumb: Yeah LBL is a haul!!!!! 4hrs for me, but I think it would be worth it. Hated I missed the fall run, especially now that I've seen the pics.
There used to be some places over by Pickwick lake to ride. Brutons Branch and "Drycreek" (not so dry)are the only places near me to ride. Both kinda got taken over by atv's and such last year and folks got in trouble in there and they started getting tickets from game wardens and TVA police. But I heard recently that they were back open again, so I'm goin to check it out.

scribble77 10-27-2011 03:55 PM

Have another person to ride with so don't have to worry about being alone. Many years ago when I was riding 4wheelers we went to Natchez Trace State Parks to ride and they used to allow 4x4's. Does anybody know if they are still doing this or have they become uptight and stopped allowing people to do this?

225grasshopper 10-27-2011 04:34 PM

They still let ya.. you also have LBL. Too i live in Paris ,Tn

macmrn 11-07-2011 08:08 PM
