Whats you MPG's

My 1999 Sahara Wrangler in on Al Gore's top offenders list. It has a 4" Lift and 33" tires and seems to get around 14 mpg on the highway. How much damage are the rest of you doing? Lets hear it!

GoldenSahara00 06-17-2011 10:59 AM

14 town 16 hwy. 2000 4.0 with 3.07 gears and 33 inch duratracs.

Iceman 06-17-2011 11:04 AM

97se 4 banger 4.10 gears turning 31X10.50s im getting 20-21 round town.

Remember when you change tire size your odometer is off just like your speedo take that into account when you figure your mileage. You might not ne doing as bad as you think.

UnlimitedLJ04 06-17-2011 11:07 AM

4.88s, 33s, 42RLE. I can get anywhere from 12mpg to 19mpg average, depends entirely how I drive. On the highway, if I can keep it between 55-60mph, drive like an old fart, with no headwind, it'll get a solid 19mpg. Around town is more like 14mpg.

when pulling a loaded trailer I get 13mpg highway

joemd60 06-17-2011 01:51 PM

I wouldn't think about mpg's to much. I did when I bought my house, now I am depressed and miserable. I was asked what I wanted for my 51st birthday, and my reply was a magic wand so I can get my Jeep back. I would gladly give up my 35 mpg Focus for my 14 mpg Jeep. :( Just needed to vent today, thanks.

coolbreeze 06-17-2011 03:05 PM

Always Stuck 06-17-2011 05:16 PM

16 city driving by the shift light. 6" lift w/ 35" tires. I'm trying higher RPM shift to see if it makes any difference.
