Anyone up for a weekend trail ride in GOD's country???? Planning for sometime in August but date isn't set. You can stay a day or go all weekend. Plenty of fishing, berry picking and photo opportunities. Date is not set yet so if interested please post up. hundreds of miles of trail ranging from 2400-7000 ft. in alt.

Mitchness 06-20-2011 01:19 AM

Definitely interested! Once more details are ironed out I can confirm or deny.

Ted_D 06-20-2011 09:39 AM

It will be either the first or second weekend in August.

Mitchness 06-20-2011 12:24 PM

First weekend I can do. Second weekend will not work for me though.

Ted_D 06-25-2011 09:59 AM

Looking more like the first weekend in August. Anyone else want in??

bigrat59 06-26-2011 03:11 AM

Hey Ted how's it goin! I'm interested but I'll have to know exact dates. Don't know what days I'll be in town yet, so just a maybe at this point. I'll watch this thread.

Ted_D 06-26-2011 09:34 AM

Going good!1 Looks like it will be August 5,6 and 7th or the 6th and 7th depending if everyone wants to camp 2 nights or one night. I think we have about 10 interested so far but some will probably drop out

Square_Eyes 06-28-2011 01:18 PM

Colene, the kids, and I are going but I won't be able to tell you which weekend works best for us until next week when I can see what is going on at work. Most likely the first weekend but not for sure yet.

NW Jeep Thing 07-10-2011 04:07 PM

It has been decided to have it on the 5th, 6th and 7th of August. Details will be at the meet-n-greet next Friday on the 15th of July. PM Ted or Bruce if you have questions.

Coyote_94YJ 07-10-2011 04:11 PM

I'll be in Moses Lake for the next two weeks so I won't be at the meet n greet. :(

I'll keep you up to date on things.

I have 2 propane stoves and 2 lanterns. I have tables but there is no way they will fit in the jeep. I was hoping to find a trailer before then but it doesn't look like its happening.

We have a chainsaw we can bring.

The more the merrier. :wavey:

Ted, are we going to set up camp in one spot and trail ride out from there and back or are we going to pack up camp each morning and move on? Also, I have a spare tent if anyone needs one.

Ted_D 07-13-2011 10:55 AM

Probably one camp. We were going to see what the majority wants to do, If we do just one camp for the weekend then we will have to take gas. I dont think one tank will do.

John your more than welcome to join us. ?There is a meet and greet in Spokane on the 15th if you want to go. PM if interested

I have 1 spare tent.
May want to think about getting some 3M dust mask. If it doesnt rain a day or 2 before it will be dusty

Hey Guys sounds like a great weekend, Carolyn and I will are trying to get it scheduled. So just want to confirm that it will still be Aug 6-7. Where are you planning on going? We will most likely head over earlier that week from Portland or Bellevue depending on where I am working that week and be in the area for the weekend. We have Oregon OffRoad ATV tags what is required for Idaho and where would we get them? Let me know if we need to know anything else, thanks Dennis

Coyote_94YJ 07-19-2011 12:20 PM

As far as I know it's still on. I think most of us, if not all, will be leaving early afternoon on the 5th. You don't need anything to run the trails in Idaho. I have an idea of the general area we will be going but Ted knows where we are going.

Rogue-Tracker 07-19-2011 12:53 PM

6-7 was actually typo, meant 5-7... we will be towing the JKU behind our RV and will most likely try to be somewhere close to where you will be to begin the trip. I still have to work M-Thurs so will want to be as close to where you will stage and still get cell phone and data connections. What is the closest large town near meeting/staging area?

Coyote_94YJ 07-19-2011 01:47 PM

We will most likely gather up at the rest area on I-90 in Coeur de Alene. That is where we met up last time.

Rogue-Tracker 07-19-2011 02:20 PM

Thanks Coeur de Alene should work fine for us to base that week. Looking forward to running with you!

Lance03 07-20-2011 10:53 AM

Hey Ted, How's the fishin' up there where we are going? Lakes? river? what are the details man!

Ted_D 07-20-2011 11:11 AM

there are several mountain lakes that have fish in them. You have to hike to get to them. Porcupine was a great lake or rainbows but they poisoned them last year and stocked it with cut throats

Ted_D 07-20-2011 11:13 AM

We will have a bunch of geocashes if you are into that. We kept all the info from our last trip.

Lance03 07-20-2011 12:29 PM caching, just need to relax and unwind and catch some fish and have a few barley pops!

I have to say, "Wow, beautiful country!" I won't be able to go, as I'm planning on a trip elsewhere and have to save my money.

Ted_D 07-21-2011 12:04 AM

It doesn't cost much. just a tank of gas and food

Ted_D 07-21-2011 12:05 AM

I am debating on tent or motor
