For a 1997 TJ with a an NP 231 J, does this look like the normal Rear Driveline or is there a Slip Yoke elimonator involved?

That's what mine looks like too. I have a 2000. I was curious on that too cuz it looks fairly protruding. But I'm guessing it isn't since ours are nearly identical am clearly both have never dome anything to it

yes thats the stock driveshaft, an easy way to tell if it has a sye is it wiil have a double cardone (cv) driveshaft with 2 u joints right at the t-case.

you should check out imco mufflers my shop stocks them and everyone that iv installed people love them great sounding compared to flowmaster that sounds like a tin can

Oh really! Yeah I'll hop online and check them out right now. Hmm which one would you recommend for the jeep? Maybe one with some nice aggressive tone to it?
