Was wondering if any of you are like me and find trails on google maps and want to check them out with another. Kind of prescreen them for meet ups. I've read about one in garner, first pic, and searched for some over off leesville rd, second pic.

I do exactly the same thing! Sometimes I just go out alone...haven't gotten stuck yet but it would be good to have some backup :thumb:

Ive heard about the garner one too, never seen trail pics or how good it is,but I'm down for a scouting mission!

As for the one off leesville Rd, it doesn't look like a trail, it looks like a gravel road. However, I've been panning around that same leesville area and it looks like there may be some good places where leesville hits new raleigh hwy and one off glenwood ave righ before it turns intones Raleigh hwy.

I've got a couple I've seen and saved on google maps as well so let me know if you want to check some trails out :thumb:

Yea I would like to check some out. I scouted out a bunch today around leesville rd and 98 hwy. Only one that you can get to and it desnt go very far. The rest had no trespassing signs. Which if it's posted you can get cited. There is one on google maps that I haven't checked out but it's in wake forest off wait avenue.

That looks like a pretty good place looks a lot like page rd. Im down for checking that place out sometime. I NEVER wheel where there are no trespassing signs because of exactly what it says :D

Here are a few places ive found while browsing google maps...

eatdirt 06-27-2011 09:35 PM

Where are those at? I can't read the street names on my phone.

Clutch127 06-27-2011 10:24 PM

The first one is of of Buckhorn Rd and the second one is off Kemp Rd.

The links are here and here.

Hey those look awesome especially the first one. I found a nice place off 98 let me see if I can bring it up.

Clutch127 07-13-2011 08:35 PM

Yeah I liked that one more too. I'm in FL till Saturday, but let me know when you wanna check some out.

eatdirt 07-13-2011 09:02 PM

Here is the pic of the 98 trail I went down. It connects to kemp rd but I think that side is blocked off. It seemed like a good one though I didn't go down that far. I've got another couple "for sure" trails that I've been on around the area. One off six forks near 98 and two off tw alexander, one of which is really mild terrain but very tight. You feel like hitting a few this weekend?

eatdirt 07-13-2011 09:03 PM

Whoops

Clutch127 07-19-2011 07:32 PM

All these look pretty sweet...Im down for checking em out this saturday!

Hey guys. Looking to get my tires dirty. I live in Morrisville near Brier Creek. Off Page Rd. If you guys wanna get together this week, lets make it happen. Got "Abby" last month, and have yet to shift into 4WD.

:whistling: I've got Geographical "7 minute" maps and Google maps of most of the Ca. I80 North Sierras-

The google maps are accurate and 99% of the time are 6months/or less old--

Easy to find an area, zoom and print !

I have been to the one in Garner that is behind the new water plant. It used to be a whole lot of fun some big hills, and plenty of mud. a lot of it is not accessable anymore since they finished the water treatment plant. I am planning on going back in the next week or so to see what all is wheelable now

I haven't had a chance to get out there, but maybe we can get a group together and find out as a team :D
I was told by a friend that had been out there to do a recovery that there are some big holes out there. If worst comes to worst he would probably come and get me out if it got too bad. He has a monster Ford on 52" Boggers:punk:

Have you guys done anymore trailing on these? I live in Apex near Holly Springs, and I'd love to expand the trails I know.
