snow tire / winter tire offroad?

Do any of you have experience with the performance of winter / snow tires in summer off road situations? I'd think the soft rubber compound and moderately aggressive tread would make them work well...

The Wrangler is nose-down from the factory. Apparently it is that way to improve fuel economy.

How much of a difference in fuel economy does it make? Those of you who put leveling kits on but...

Wow, I am VERY surprised. I figured it would be 75% auto and 25% manual. My local dealer seems to stock mostly autos so I figured that is most of what sells.

But, if you're doing 8000 per year on your Jeep it will take you 5 yrs to hit 40k miles. You might be replacing tires due to age rather than wear.

Yes, start in 4L without pressing the clutch. This is one of the reasons 4L is not good for daily commuting. It is too easy to have the car lurch forward because you forgot to press the clutch.

I just put new tires on my 08 JKU X. Changed from 32x10 mud tires to 32x10 all terrains. MPG at 55 mph went from about 20 to about 24.

I suspect that some (much?) of the fuel economy erosion...
