got it figured it out. it was was boot on the transfer case side of the front drive shaft. not sure if something hit it or if was just wear and tear but its time to replace.

Ok, squeaky is a bad way to describe it. My buddy discribes it more as clicky and poppy. It certainly wasn't suspension.
