Did you remove the nut in the stud in the rear. If so I would try a pry bar while jiggling it a little till it pops off it's kind of a pain but it will come off just needs a little convincing.

You could of cracked the thermostat housing is it leaking almost right on top of the fan pretty much. They are very easy to crack if you don't have your thermostat in there just right it will slide...

Not that I'm aware of. When we put the cam in it said to line the dots up pointing at eachother we did that and being as the valves are non adjustable how do you go about doing that.

Mine is an 04 tj rubicon not real sure what trans is in it haven't had the time to crawl underneath it. My transmission lines are on screw in type fittings.
