the hard top option will add the electrical you need. Personally I added a spider shade and skipped the soft top. I have a hardtop lift and a garage to park the jeep in so for me this has worked...

Yea not the cheapest but less than several other options mentioned here. I'll be honest the integrated foot peg was a big selling point for me. Also no bolts or screws to mess with they just fit...

I have the same question. I installed this winch just after Christmas and so far the line has been exposed. The Jeep is kept in a garage when not in use so I'm not sure how much a concern there is...
