Yea, 16s are a less common, but I thought I would try... I like the size of 285/75r16 tires on a 3" lift, which is what I have.

medicjej. You're right - Mickey T does make a 16x8 wheel with a 4-4.5 bolt pattern and 4" of BS. They only make one as far as I can tell (the Classic Lock Wheel). It's highly polished chrome and has...

Rim-job for my tires...

I'd like to run 285/75r16 tires (33" x 11.5"). It sounds like I'll need wheels with 4" to maybe 4.25" of BS to avoid rubbing. There are tons of 16"x8" wheels with 4.5" of BS, but it also sounds like...

Well, I will let you all know in about a week exactly what the RPMs of a 42rle are at 65 mph and at 80 mph with 4.88 gears (which is what I deceided to re-gear to) AND 33" tires.

I actually may do...

I'm not so sure...

I'm re-gearing my 4.0 auto from 3.37s to either 4.56 or 4.88 for 33" tires. If your rpms are at 2450 @ 75 mph with 32.2 tires (which im guessing are actually 33" tires) that...

I get the lower COG and BL needed for the TT . But... if I start with a 3" lift (vs. the 2.5"/1.25" BL) I can always add a BL and TT to that down the rod and be even better off.

Slippery slope......

Jim9006 - Almost everyone says to go with 4.56s with 33s. A gear chart puts that combo at a good RPM; better than my current 30" tires with 3.73 gearing... Although the over-drive scares me.

Thanks for the input...

I'm upgrading a bit and am leaning toward doing a 2.5" OME coil / 1.25" JKS BL lift (ie. DPG's kit) over doing 3" coils (Teraflex). Although I'm leaning this way, I still...

To kit... Or not to kit. That is the question.

I've got an '06 TJ Unlimited (42rle auto trans). It's totally stock and about to get its first dose of medicine.

I'm putting on 285/75/16 tires (or 33" x 12.5") and will re-gear to 4.56.
