That's the fix to turn off the seat belt chime. Your vehicle always thinks your buckled, you'll never hear the chime or see the light on the dash again. (It's the Day 1 mod.)

I think the problem you're having is that you can buy a new one ('14 softtop/2 door) for around 22K. Makes it hard to pay 19K for an older one.
