I went from 285/70/17s Toyo ATs to 315/70/17 BFG Radial All Terrains on my '12 auto 3.73 JK, did not notice much of a difference power wise, one thing I did not like was the added width of the tires...

285/75/17s are one of the largest, there is a lot of variation in tire size, BFG 34x10.5x.17 are noticeably smaller than Toyo 285/75/17s.

Are you really getting 2mpg better or it is just reporting the correct mileage now as the speedometer is correct? It would be hard to know what mileage you are getting with an inaccurate speedometer.
