It's not a good idea to use a friction modifier...

It's not a good idea to use a friction modifier in any new or not broken in engine. Even using Synthetic in a new engine is not a good idea until broken in.
As for slick 50 I used it many years ago...

I just installed one of the CFS all brass...

I just installed one of the CFS all brass radiators on my TJ in September. Rock solid and went in just like OE. Best part is lower temps across the board. Highly recommended!

Thats exactly what I did. I bought a 10mm bolt and two matching 10mm nuts, tightened them together and have used it several times since. Much cheaper than the allen, and works just as well. Cheers!
