I've read that faulty o2 sensors can cause these monitors to remain incomplete while not triggering a CEL. Have you changed the o2 sensors recently? Might be worth doing so.

No. Looking at it now my initial post didn't make much sense.

What I should have said is I have a radiant heat in the floor w/ a rinnai tankless hot water heater as the heating source.

I don't really understand what you said, but you can check the fluid level by removing the fill plug and adding fluid until the fluid starts to drip out the fill hole.

easy, 4 bolts at the rear yoke. if you have a slip yoke you have to cut the clamp at the transfer case and the ds will slide off. If you have a SYE then 4 more bolts at the front.

Disconnect the rear drive shaft and drive in 4wd. If the noise goes away you know it's the ds. Otherwise I'd think it's the gears or axles bearings.
