I had that problem with a Mishimoto radiator. Bent the prop rod slightly; problem solved. (Fortunately, I noticed the problem before any real damage occurred.)

That might be true. Problem is, 15 ft/lbs is not enough to keep the wheels on. And the OE nuts are only going to survive a certain number of on/off cycles at the specified torque before fatigue...

Brake fluid leaking from the drum would suggest a leaking wheel cylinder. Brake linings probably contaminated. Probably not a DIY job if you have no experience/tools.
