Well, it would be tougher to test with an LSD, but maybe not impossible. Have to think about that a bit. Maybe some kind of video camera rigged up to see what the rear brakes are doing?

I agree that LSD will get you sideways sometimes when an open diff wouldn't. Still I would get it if I wasn't going selectable.

Just curious - can you put a Rubi TJ diff in a JK housing? Didn't the TJ's have a selectable locker with an LSD?

I think the Sport you describe would go anywhere my Rubicon would go. Base Sport, 3.73's, and an aftermarket front locker would be a choice setup and fairly inexpensive.
