My '88 is in the shop right now, getting a clutch kit and a clutch slave cylinder installed. My slave cylinder is internal, but if it was an external unit, I would have changed just that part first...

I asked their sales dept about a clutch slave cylinder and asked them where the part was made, and they said they didn't have that information. I said I didn't want parts made in China or similar...
