Yeah, I just ground the lip off on mine and then painted it with rattle can. I read somewhere that this was an issue with teraflex but I got my diff covers cheap so I couldn't pass them up.

Had this happen to me with the 2.5" x-factor, I ground down through the bump stop and perch it's on to make it stop hitting. Oh, I have the teraflex bump stops too.

I believe a lot of front bump stops require drilling the perch. I used hockey pucks with liquid nail to hold them in place. Been on over a year now and they haven't moved.
