There should be no continuity between the center pin and outer conductor, either on the radio, or antenna/cable.

These things really can't be stolen anymore, unless the thief has the key. They can be hotwired, but if the key is not present the motor shuts down in a couple minutes. They might get 2 blocks...

Ya, it doesn't matter if you put the brackets on first or not, just make sure all the CA bolts are loose so the bushings don't bind when you let the axle sag to install the springs.

I used a 3" hole saw and cut 2 holes in each vent. Just be very careful and go slow so you only cut through the drip tray. I've had no issues in almost 2 years with having done that.

Ya it does look like they might need to be trimmed. A lot of corner guards have that flare around the hinge, so I suspect trimming may be required for a lot of different guards.
