You should get the SYE regardless in my opinion. As far as whether or not you need the control arms right away is hard to say. It's a worthwhile upgrade to do them right away if you have the $$....

I would think that if you lowered the transfer case that much then it would get rid of the vibrations. I think before you purchase new arms you should remove the rear driveshaft and try driving on...

Have you measured your pinion angle first to make sure it is indeed your driveshaft wobbling? I installed a 2.5" OME lift and with my stock axle didn't have any vibes.
