Good point, I usually leave it unlocked even with the hard top. It can't be driven away without the transponder key anyway, nothing of value inside and it is insured.

WOW!!! Just read this, ran downstairs, tightened those suckers up and no more popping. They were really loose, and it did not take a lot to make the popping disappear, no need to over tighten them....
