No, the SWS already has holes in the right places with grommets in the holes. All you need to do is line them up with a Philips screw driver and put the bolts back in.

I have no idea how long I drove the Jeep with the sway bar link disconnected. I do have a steering attenuator which, I believe, really helped me keep control of the Jeep.
