Here's the rub, took her down to a garage (I'm in the effin middle
east) because the bearing for the steering shaft disappeared. 3 1/2 weeks later they return it to me....

I had the same exact issue. My fix for now was the TPS. The TPS is pretty easy to trouble shoot. I don't have the write up link with me but if you yahoo search it you will find it.

I too changed the TPS today. It idles a lot better and does not backfire on decel anymore. I will try to fill it up tomorrow and see how it drives. I had changed the fuel pressure regulator a week...

It is the first part on the fuel rail. On the opposite side of where the fuel lines from the tank hook up. Cannot miss it and it takes about 2 minutes to change.
