I don't know if it has any alarm to be honest. I don't have power windows/doors/mirrors, everythings manual, I don't even have a key fob. It doesn't sound alarm related though, it's too inconsistent.

My recollection is there's also a calibration depending where you're located in the US. Try looking in the owners manual, I think it explains how to check and set it.

It was pretty straight forward. Air tools are a huge help, but not required. You'll need an alignment afterwards. With a second set of hands it took us about 5 hours start to finish.

It's not easily removed, it's spot welded to the fender. Someone who does PDR can probably fix it where it sits though, when you lift the hood there's fairly easy access.
