I hate the crappy 4 speed auto transmission more than the 3.8 engine.
3.8 is a dependable workhorse engine. I have 63,000 miles on my 09. Didn't buy a wrangler to break any land speed records.

Don't worry about it so much. It'll dry out pretty quick with the low humidity out here plus since there's no padding under the carpet it won't get that musty smell and the seats will dry pretty...
