Could the throwout not be riding against the teeth for some reason? Like the slave is not inducing enough pressure to and allowing it to slip against the teeth? That would explain why slight pressure...

Slave to Strong?

New here,

I have an 04 TJ 4.0L, 5 Speed. Just replace the clutch and throw out. No issue there. It has the sealed slave system. Everything worked fine for about a day.
