Take a look at Bestop seat covers. I had a set of custom neoprene (avoid at all costs) and also had a set of cheapy Wal-Mart ones that worked OK. The Bestop ones have been the best, by far.

No. As stated above, if you extend the rubber bumpstops out to make constant contact with the tire, you'll be OK. Been running a 33" spare on my tailgate for over a year with no problems.

Don't ever use Clorox disinfectant wipes or Wet Ones to clean a wound. The best thing to carry for wound cleansing is a bottle of sterile saline or sterile water and some sterile 4x4 dressings.
