So I decided to swap in a new starter and while...

So I decided to swap in a new starter and while swapping it out, the connection to the ignition switch broke (black wire). I managed to get a substitute connector and attached it to the new starter....

Battery died

My fog lights was left on in that drained my battery.
Tried jumpstarting my jeep several times with another car but it won't work...

It seems like i wasn't able to fully engage it. When I tried to pull the gear to the left to lock it, it stays for awhile and then the grinding noise comes on and th gear forces itself to the neutral...
