I'd piece together a used factory top from CL /Ebay. It's the most versatile and longest lasting. I put mine together for about $300, and it looks new.

Nothing special on adapters, just bolt them up to proper torque and check them after a couple days. Then, every couple months.

I meant the cam bolts. My steering was too "over boosted" and the bolts, for the $30 or so they cost made a noticeable difference. I'll be going to adjustable LCAs soon to dial-in more more steering...

If you want the side to look more finished, get some diamond plate, like a Rubi, or rock rails. I like mine as they have a tube, but they sit higher than the body.

Agree on the shocks if you can afford them. you can find budget boosts with shocks for $150 on ebay. Most shocks are made by Tenneco/Monroe. they're fine for a few years.
