I don't know whether it would help or not, but I would probably just replace the CPS and see if that helps. Its not hard, and I believe the part is like 45 or 50 bucks.

Got screwed over on a rear D44 I bought, supposedly had a locker in it, ended up with an LSD.....Go figure. So now I'm in the market for a nice used Detroit locker.

how is this locked?

I bought this 44 under the impression that it had a Detroit in it.... only to crack it open and find spider gears. So are they welded, because it's definitely locked, both sides spin if I turn one...
