Keep in mind that the hard top does not have any support on the underside. It's one big fiberglass tub. Anything that you put on top of it is going to bounce around a lot.

I don't have any rattling whatsoever. Part of the reason for that is the adjustable latch. It keeps the swing-away very snug in the receiver.
