Is their rust inside the socket? i would get moisture inside the lens and it rusted it out. somewhat hard to see, can see it on the bulb contacts.

Why would they take the electrical connections apart and clean, change all fluids, remove all signs of rust, then leave a 5" pile of mud to give it away.
Could it be from the regular tub flooding?...
