The only way a different thermo is going to prevent over heating is if the old one is malfunctioning. Thermo stats do not reduce peak temps.... Bigger radiators do. Thermo stats control minimum...

About 1 year and 24,000 miles later.... No problems at all.

Edit: Whoops, take that back. There is an intermittent water leak when it rains, on the front passenger door.

I live in the Pac NW, near the coast, and it is wet here more days of the year than it is not.

How Much Wheel Travel?

How much front wheel travel is feasible while using stock control arms, trac bar, and their stock mounting points?

I believe using Bilstein 5160s and 2" spacers Or springs I can get about 9 1/2"...

My 2013 stock Sport w/ Bilstiens measures 18 15/16" front mount to mount.

My stock shocks measure 22 9/16 and 14 3/8.

4 9/16 up, 3 5/8 Down, 8 3/16 travel.

Coil Spacer Installation Question

When 3/4" or 1" coil spacers are installed, is it advisable to loosen all the track bar and control arm bolts and then retighten with the Jeep on the ground?

I know this is normal for bigger...

Installed Some Bilstein 4600 HDs

My JK unlimited Sport is totally stock. Yesterday put on some Bilstein 4600 HDs, for 0 lift.

Fronts, extended
Stock 22 9/16"
Bilstein 23 1/16" (+1/2")

When you go down tight trails that eventually dead end, you will a lot more time driving back out in reverse rather than being able to turn around. And rear visibility is very poor so it isn't fun....
