I dont think you would spend a whole lot of more money on a brand new 0 mile Jeep...may be a better buy in thte long run!

When I bought my wrangler the original tires lasted about 2 weeks...a twig when thru the side wall at 325 miles. Goodyear passenger tires on a Jeep sucks. Now at 33's and loving it.

Had the same problem partner...please listen to what is being said about regearing. 04 with 33's, 410's, get about 15 mpg 2250 @ 65 in 5th gear.

Get the six or you will be sorry...not a big diff in gas mileage. A 4 with an auto you will be double unhappy. I'm sure there are those that love their 4-bangers, but all my friends that have them...

I had a Dana 35...makes a good paper weight. I have 33's, 410's (2250 @ 65) and replaced with 44's and chrome-moly axles. I am easy on equipment...so if you don't go offroad maybe the 35 will hold...

I have an 04 which had 307s when to 33's no power!!! regeared to 411 and everything is wonderful. If you go to 488 that pinon gear gets mighty small and more likely to fail if you have 30 & 35...
