i would go with the 2.5" lift and 31's for now. if you want more lift later on a spring over axle conversion is the way to go. any more than 2.5" sprng lift and the springs are going to have too...

i run full synthetic and change every 6000 miles with filter only changes at 3000 unless i get into deep water. everything i own has made it past 200,000 miles on this interval.

some guys use a three jawed puller to separate the hub assembly from the axle and knuckle, but that is a BAD idea. by doing so you can damage the hub assembly or worse the differential components...

the caliper is off? the rotor is off? the axle nut is off? you got out the three 12 point headed bolts that hold the hub assembly to the steering knuckle? using a hammer and chisel separate the hub...
