In the rear, I think it runs from the left side of the axle, and attaches to the right side of the frame. It's the only bar going between the axle and frame. It should unbolt, but it depends on how...

Removing the rear track bar has no adverse effects at all, it just rides better. Removing the front will make it ride better, too, but it can loosen up the steering a little.

44's are about maxed out with 35-37s. I'd go with a D60 front and 14 bolt or Sterling 10.25 rear.

You'll need to stretch the frame and either move your steering box up, or get an Astro van box if you want to use xj springs in front.

You'll definitely want a better axle than that 8.25 too. They...

Go between the two and get 4.10s. You can get an 8.8 with them, then you'll possibly only have to regear the D44. I love my 4.10s with 35s and a 5 speed.

Get one from a 95-00 or 01. They have disk brakes. The only real con is the pressed in axle tubes, but that is easily fixed, and only a real problem with bigger tires.

I ran 33x10.50s on 2" of lift with tube fenders and only rubbed in the rear when I totally flexed it out. Even then, it didn't rub bad at all. So you could probably clear 33's pretty easy.

Yeah, something is way wrong. A 1.5" lift should be pretty much bolt on, no need for shims or t-case drop. Especially don't use shims on the front axle. It can mess with the caster. Maybe you put the...

I'm guessing its stock. If so, it's a Dana 30. They are a good axle, and able to run up to 35s fairly well.
