So I wonder if switching to a synthetic 10w30 wouldnt help? ...

Actually the clutch is fine. I have a receipt for that not too long before I bought it. It only gets driven on occasion so I have only put about 500-750 miles on it.

Installed an actual late YJ seatbelt for myself. Now I can reach the radio and a/c controls when I am driving. LOL. The seatbelt I had in there was from an 89 and it was way too short.

It sounds like you were driving it. If you didnt hear any noises from the bottom end, you will probably be fine to just bolt it back on for now, but be ready to eventually do the bottom end.
