Yes it is the sending unit-but get it fixed right away. Mine was pinning over 80 for a week because the mechanic wasn't worried about it. Then I smelled burning oil. Sending unit just plain broke off...

How do I change my own oil sending unit?

92 Wrangler YJ. Novice mechanic. I believe my unit is bad again after a brand new one was just put in. Engine lifted 4 inches with engine mounts.

Oil pressure gauge says it's at 70 again. Is that ok? This is the 3rd oil sending unit in less than 8 months. My mechanic keeps saying oil sending units are bad quality, is that so?

The YJ 92 is still a beautiful red but faded over the years and there are many scrapes on the door hinges and sides from removing the doors and replacing them in the summer. I want to touch the spots...

I just got 4 brand new 33's balanced etc etc...and I just replaced the U-Joint, thinking it could be both, but NO! When pressing clutch in around 3rd and 4th and leaving it in...it really rumbles....

AX5 transmission. 1992 Wrangler YJ rumbles like rumble strip after shifting into 3rd 4th and 5th then subsides A LITTLE. Power loss. Any ideas??

A mellow thumpa thumpa thumpa. Like it's going over those strips on the side of a highway to wake you up. Only thicker and not so frequent. It does drive staight. Don't know what a bump steer is.

What does badly out of alignment sound and feel like?

1992 Wrangler lifted about 6 inches total with new all terrain '33's. Rumbles and pounds in all gears, but when clutch is disengaged, it stops. Do I need an alignment? Runs fine.

You know, it ended up being the crappy oil sending unit AGAIN! That exlpains why the gauge kept fluctuating back and forth so much, mostly over 80. Easy fix but annoying for sure. Who has a superior...
