switching to carb questions

92 4.0 ax15. I am building 4.6 motor and by the time i am done i want it to be an engine, lights, and radio.... nothing else. i want to lose the ecm, and all of the sensors.

What is the best...

Where can I get a wiring harness for 4.0 5speed? Looking for a simplified harness with no a/c. If anyone has one or knows where to get one let me know. Looking for a computer as well.

92 4.0 needs a new computer. I am about to pull engine and stroke to 4.6. Where is a good place to get an ecm, and is there anyone that makes one to work with stroker better than stock one?

No cam sensor. Crank sensor and coil are new, still no spark. Anything else to check before new computer? On the fence about putting v8 in this thing so I'm kinda tired of throwing money at 242.

Balancer is new, as well as ac bypass and one of the idlers that had bad bearing. I rebuilt motor 1600 miles ago, and has been squealing ever since. Tried 2 different belts, one cheap, one Not cheap....

I have 31's on my jeep and it has no lift at all. The springs are so worn out its probably lowered. It did rub my flares, but I took them off and put tube fenders up front.

92 yj 4.0 5spd. I have replced belt with best one I could find. Changed idler pulley and still squeals. Really bad. It does it as soon as you touch the clutch, while driving and rolling in neutral...

Def do clutch and slave cylinder. I just rebuilt my 4.0 and am gonna have to pull tranny out to replace slave and clutch. Only been back on road for 1000 miles.

Clutch engages differently every time. Sometimes all the way at floor, sometimes a couple inches out. Squeals like hell too. Was gonna replace clutch and slave cylinder prob this weekend. What else...

Wow, it was so simple my twisted mind could not figure it out. The old ones pulled directly off and new ones pushed on and then have a plastic retainer.

Ok thanks, I bought some 13" from autozone, but when I went to put them on, the brackets that hold them to the arms aren't like any I have ever seen.

Thanks for advise, I just put new 31s on and don't think I will be going any bigger on tires. I had always heard stock 4.0 had 3.07, but will look into it. If it has 3.56 or 3.73, then 4.11 will work...

Don't know if this will help or not, but I had a similar problem on a zj that was odb2, it was the crank position sensor. Part is pretty cheap but you gotta get the felt spacers from the dealer.

Had 31s but sold them with a zj I had a while back. I can get 31's on now, but gonna go with 33's if I do 4". Still working on body, but lift will be coming soon. Got 97 zj wheels and 235 tires now....
