So I have recently done a new cam and crank gear, plus chain

i'm all put back together, I am timed at 7.5 degrees this is without the vac advance not hooked up, seem to have a misfire,...

ok just to clarify you u have used the gasket...

ok just to clarify you u have used the gasket that goes on the bottom of the timing cover and sat that down into the oil pan gasket with rtv so all said in done there is actually two gaskets...

Update...for ya All said and done, I decided to turn my distributor to # 6 regardless of what it should be, mind you I'm at tdc and my timing chain marks are aligned. walk over and turn key.. ...

ok so i know the cam and crank has spun the crank has a keyed and the cam has a pin so I cant mess that up, what im looking for is the correct correlation of the two, pretty sure I have number 1...
