yes. I ran spidertrax with 285/70-17 and 285/75-17 and looked much better. Makes the tires look bigger. both of these jks are running 1.5" spacers with stock rims....

I would not put mud tires on a jeep that is going to see mostly highway and just light off roading. Lots of good AT type tires that are better suited for that.
