I had to adjust my linkage to fix this issue. It's under the skidplate. Unless you're double jointed it'll be easier to take the plate off, and remember to support the case, as the plate does the job...

I didn't know that (bolded part), good point. Sticking with the auto!

Thanks!

I had another thought about this. I have had many more manual transmission vehicles than autos, and I've had it suggested that I should consider going that direction.

How hard is it to swap to...

I would agree with you if that worked. But those little amber lights are barely better than nothing, and when you're trying to make a split second decision in traffic it sure helps to have a pair of...

No lights on when it's raining? Really?

:nonono:

Caught out in a downpour coming home from work today, and I'm noticing that around 1/4 of the people on the road have NO lights on. There may have been more, but I couldn't see them...

One thing I forgot to mention; chains are NOT for "snatching". Every single instance I've seen a failure was when some dummy was putting a high dynamic load on it. Take the slack out gently, then...

Chains have uses. If it's grade 80 or 100, I'd feel safe using it. I use it almost daily to rig much heavier loads than will ever come into play on the trail.

I have and have used that exact jack. Works fine, stores well. Go for it.

BTW, have not had any luck with stock jacks. They're all much harder to work than the bottle jacks. YMMV.

Thanks!
