I believe that it is specifically the 97-99 Dakota 4wd or 98-99 Durango 4wd steering boxes that fit. They only have 3 mounting bolts to line up but it will line up with 3 of the jeeps 4. Much more HD.

Check the egr valve. A bad one will cause a high idle and loss of power. Impersonates a vacuum leak. Easy fix too. They go bad frequently.
