If the front is geared at 3.07, and the rear is NOT geared the same (like 3.73 or 4.10), it does not surprise me that you break it every time you go to 4wd.

Hmm, that's odd. I run about the same rpms at 70, and I have the i6/32rh/4.10 on 31s. My speedometer is nearly spot on according to GPS.

I try to keep my basic bag small for fishing trips. A small bag with me in the canoe is better than a big bag all the way back at base camp. Jeep trips could handle much more of course.

This is true in Ohio. Just wire the grill lights on a separate switch from others, that way you can select when you want to have them on (parked, parades, off-road, etc.).
