You've got two options for that hose, it's your trans breather hose or your transfer case breather hose. Follow the hose up with your hand and see where it attaches.

I've heard nothing but good come from OME lifts.

Noticed some in and out slop with the front...

Noticed some in and out slop with the front output shaft of the transfer case... Well poo. I guess that's where that extra snap ring went.

Looks like I'll tear into it this weekend.

Why do all of the work for a v8 swap, and swap in a 200-240HP engine?

The "bowtie" engines produce 300hp.

Easy decision for me.

I would not stick a 2wd tranny in there. This would require you to drop the trans, get the output shaft changed, and then you'll have to find a 4wd tail housing.. Save your money and do it right...

Find yourself a 4x4 4l60e and then get a np241c from a chevy truck and you're set. You'll have to change the tail shaft of the trans THEN adapt it. Way too much work. The 241c will fit right on.
